Being vulnerable is seen as a sign of weakness, and lack of masculinity. Even if someone tries to speak about the issues they deal with, there is no one who listens, or tries to understand the person. It leads to a silent battle we fight and sadly are losing. In the last 30 years, men’s mental health has deteriorated at an alarming rate. The mortality rate of men and women was equal in the 1920s but today, women live longer by 5 years than men. Suicides and heart attacks at early age in men is just another news today.
